Blustery autumn day in Berlin

Perfect for exploring on the bicycle (Schloß Sans Souci will have to wait until after I return from Südtirol).

I leave by train Friday morning to Bozen, so a week of snapshots from the Dolomites will begin this Saturday!

Die Kriegsgräberstätte Pankow (Battle of Berlin graveyard in Pankow park) with graves of 350 German civilians and soldiers killed between 14.5.45 and 22.6.45.

Sowietisches Ehrenmal und Soldatenfriedhof Schönholz (Soviet war memorial and cemetery in Pankow -- one of three in Berlin). Currently under major renovation.

This part of Pankow has many lovely pre-war villas and apartment houses
